1. Signing up
Tournaments are announced with an embed in your server. Use the buttons on the post:
- โ Sign Up โ solo tournaments. If the organizer requires an in-game nickname, a small form pops up first.
- ๐ฏ Register Team โ team tournaments. The captain registers the whole team: enter a team name and your teammates' Discord usernames (one per line). Your teammates get a DM confirming they've been added โ if a name couldn't be matched yet (shown as (pending)), the DM arrives when the tournament starts.
- โ Withdraw โ leave the tournament (captains withdraw the whole team). You'll get a confirmation prompt first โ only you see it, and nothing happens until you confirm. Only possible while registration is open.
Some tournaments close signups before the start time (the announcement shows a โSignups closeโ date) โ usually so the organizer can seed the bracket. Don't wait for the start time to sign up.
Big events sometimes take more signups than there are spots (the announcement reads โ900 signed up ยท 512 spotsโ). Spots are not first-come โ seeded players get in first, then checked-in players by signup time. So sign up even if the number looks full, and above all check in when it opens.
2. Check-in
Some tournaments require a check-in shortly before start (you'll see it on the announcement, e.g. โ10 min before startโ). When check-in opens, the bot posts in the channel and DMs you โ click โ Check In in time. Tapping it again cancels your check-in, and if you sign up during the check-in window you're checked in automatically. For team events, every member checks in individually. If your button won't work, tell an admin โ they can check you in manually. No check-in = removed from the bracket when the tournament starts.
3. Your matches & match rooms
When the tournament starts, the bot creates a private channel for each match โ only you (or your whole team), your opponents, and tournament admins can see it. You'll be pinged in the room when it's created, so you always know where to play. Use it to:
- Agree on lobby details and server/host
- Post result screenshots (recommended as proof)
- Ping admins if something goes wrong
Reporting results is admin-only. When your match is done, post the result (screenshot helps) in the match room and an admin confirms it โ including the series score in best-of-3 and longer (e.g. 2-1). The bracket advances automatically and your next match room appears when your opponent is decided.
4. Byes & walkovers
When the bracket size doesn't divide evenly (say 23 players in a 32 bracket), some entrants skip a round with a bye โ these go to the top seeds, or earliest signups if seeding isn't used. In double elimination you can also advance by walkover when no opponent can reach your slot.
Either way, the bot DMs you the moment you advance without playing โ no need to discover it from the bracket. Make sure your DMs are open for the server.
5. Following the tournament
/match listโ all matches currently being played/match bracketโ the bracket or standings, with scores, in Discord- ๐ Live Bracket โ many tournaments include a link/button to a live web bracket on this site that updates every 15 seconds. Share it with anyone โ no Discord needed to watch.
6. Team management (captains)
/team addโ add a member to your team/team removeโ remove a member/team transferโ hand the captain role to a teammate
Team changes are only possible while registration is open.
7. Common hiccups
- โThis interaction failedโ โ usually momentary; click again. If it persists, tell an admin.
- No bye/check-in DM? โ your DMs are likely closed for this server: Server name โ Privacy Settings โ allow direct messages.
- Can't see your match room? โ rooms are created when your match is ready (your opponent may still be playing). If it's ready and still missing, ping an admin.
- Result entered wrong? โ flag it in the match room immediately; admins can fix it with
/tournament correct.
